PUR Buchu
Buchu
is an ancient African medicinal wild herb, which grows in abundance
in the cold wet ravines in the Western Cape Mountains. Buchu is
well known for its medicinal properties, such as stomach, kidney,
bladder and arthritis aches, and general aches and pains. An extract
of Buchu is blended with natural brandy spirits to create a healthy
digestive liqueur that is smooth on taste with hints of wild mint
flavours. A TRUE EXOTIC Adventure! - some claim an excellent remedy
for overindulgence. |

PUR Heuningbos
(Honey Bush)
The
Honey Bush grows wild in the Western and Southern Cape Mountains.
As the name indicates, the nectar from the Honey Bush flowers attracts
bees and it is known to impart the unique natural bush flavours
into the honey. The Honey Bush (also used for making tea) is fused
with natural brandy spirits into a liqueur with a refreshing and
smooth taste - equally ideal as an aperitif (on its own or over
crushed ice) or a digestive drink. This liqueur is made using the
same recipe as the PUR Rooibos but see and taste the difference, PUR(e)
magic! |

Anglo
Boer War Giftpack
"The war declared by the Boers on 11 October 1899 gave the British, as Kipling said, no end of a lesson'. The public expected it to be over by Christmas. It proved to be the longest (two and three-quarters years), the costliest (over two hundred million pounds), the bloodiest (at least 22,000 British, 25,000 Boer and 12,000 African lives) and the most humiliating war Britain fought between 1815 and 1914." - Thomas Pakenham: The Boer War |

The giftpack consists of 4 x 50ml bottles of our fynbos collection
namely PUR Naartjie, PUR Rooibos, PUR Honeybush
and PUR Orange

PUR Koos De La Rey Giftpack
Thomas Pakenham in his historical narrative of the Boer War wrote: " Among all the Boer leaders of this period, with the exception of President Steyn, De la Rey stands out as morally the most powerful and the most unyielding. It was he who was to keep alight, in its purest form, the fierce flame of Afrikaner natiolism." One may add to this the dream to be free. It was the Afrikaner who was the first of the African Peoples who fought for its freedom. |
